So it’s the middle of March (2.5 months into the new year) and I’m proud to say that I’m still on my fitness journey. Historically, I would have. fallen off track by now. But I’m feeling determined to make this year different from the rest.
Weight loss is super slow, but it’s trending in the right direction. I’ve finally decided to set a weight loss goal for each month. Five pounds per month doesn’t seem alot to many, but for me…..that would be significant.
Repairing my metabolism is what I’m currently focusing on. So I’ve read a book titled “The Fast Metabolism Diet” by Haylie Pomroy. In the book Pomroy becomes my personal nutritionist and teaches me how to repair my metabolism with the foods I eat. In her book, DIET is an acronym for “Did I Eat Today?” She stresses the importance of eating regularly to optimize your metabolism. She also teaches the chemical reactions that are taking place within your body, as the body processes different types of foods. This book has been very enlightening and educational. With the help of this book and other resources, I’m going to eat my way into weight loss.
